Pick it up from the counter in North Hykeham, or we'll deliver to site across Lincolnshire and the East Midlands. Courier further afield.

Return or extend
Bring it back when the job is done, or ring us to keep it on. Extensions are charged at the same rate, with no penalty for running over.

Each hire goes out as a complete working kit, not just the instrument. We check the whole lot against the manufacturer's tolerance on our own test range before it leaves, so a hired laser reads the same as one you own.

Hire terms
The short version of the small print

Minimum one week
Hire is charged at one week minimum then by the day thereafter. Bulk rates are available for long term hire, call to discuss

ID and a deposit
First-time hirers bring photo ID and proof of address. We take a card deposit on the kit, refunded in full when it comes back complete.

Damage and loss
Fair wear is expected. Loss, theft or a drop that needs a repair is charged at cost, so check the kit is covered on your site insurance.

Running over
Ring us if the job overruns and we'll extend at the same rate. Kit returned late without a call is charged at the day rate until it's back.
Questions
What people ask before they hire
The questions we answer most often at the counter.
Can I hire for a single day?
No. One week is the minimum and most of the fleet is available at short notice. Ring before 15:00 and you can usually collect the same afternoon.
Is the kit calibrated when I collect it?
Every instrument is checked on our test range before each hire and goes out with a dated, serial-numbered calibration certificate in the case. Main contractors accept it in the same way as a certificate for your own kit.
Do you deliver to site?
We deliver on the van across Lincolnshire and the East Midlands, normally next working day, and we can send kit by insured courier anywhere in the UK. Carriage is quoted when you book.
What if the job runs over?
Ring us and we'll extend the hire at the same rate. There is no penalty for extending as long as you let us know before the return date.
What happens if the equipment is damaged?
Normal site wear is expected and not charged. If an instrument comes back needing a repair we quote the work at cost, and lost or stolen kit is charged at its replacement value. Most site policies cover hired-in plant, so it is worth checking yours before you collect.
Can hire count towards buying the instrument?
Often, yes. If you decide to buy the same model within the hire period we can put part of the hire charge towards the purchase price, new or reconditioned. Ask when you enquire and we'll confirm the figure in writing.
