Recon Survey and Safety ltd was first launched in 2018 by its MD Simon Finney. Originally Simon worked for his fathers company Zenith Survey for almost 25 years and has dealt with most of the drainage boards in this time providing them with Sales, hire and Calibrations of all makes and models of Surveying and Safety equipment. Everything from calibrating a suparule to selling the latest GPS kit for Surveys. Simon Harrison of Black Sluice IDB has recently taken delivery of a brand new Leica Icon ICG70 GPS kit after first seeing the kit at the recent ADA Flood and Water Live 2023 event which Recon Survey and Leica Geosystems were delighted to attend and support.
As Recon Survey has grown through its consistent high level of service so has its small family driven team of dedicated staff. Our Sales Director Nick Cox, Office manager Emma Benstead and Melanie Smith our Driver and Recall manager have all come across from Zenith Survey and bring with them years of expertise in the industry. Recently Sophie Onyon has joined us to look after our accounts and we have Jack Finney looking after our workshop who is third generation in the family business.
In the past 5 years Recon Survey and Safety has gone from strength to strength welcoming thousands of new customers .With the increase in business we have had to move in to our new larger premises in North Hykeham Lincoln which offers more storage, bigger workshops and office space plus a trade counter where customers can call in to purchase new kit and consumables, collect hires and drop off calibrations and walk away with the usual bag of free Haribo.
Completing the team, we have Lee Hodgkins who is our new Machine Control manager who brings with him a wealth of experience in sales and service working with heavy plant. He will be travelling the Midlands looking after our customers 2D and 3D machine control requirements for IDIG and Leica Geosystems and Icon, for excavators, dozers and trenchers.
